Apple Watch companion app revelations



As the Apple Watch launch date approaches - the latest reports suggest it will be hitting Apple Stores in March - not a day goes by without some sort of murmur on the device once known as the iWatch hitting the web.


Usually they are nonsense but we couldn't ignore the wealth of info on offer from 9to5Mac who had managed to get hold of a load of Apple Watch iPhone companion app screenshots that detailed the customisation aspects of the forthcoming wearable that has eyes on the best smartwatch crown. Withings Activité landing on Android soon



Withings Activité Android compatibility is coming, according to our pals over at Trusted Reviews. Withings CEO Cédric Hutchings told them: “We now have a pretty similar experience of Withings Health Mate on Android, and Activité support will be on the Android version of the app by the end of the month.”

NES Power Glove makes a comeback



Legendary status it may have but, let's face it, Mattel's NES Power Glove was about as useful as a cherry flavoured suppository. But that's all set to change as animator Dillon Markey is now using a Bluetooth'd modified version to produce stop-motion TV shows like Robot Chicken. Yes, really.

Virgin Active gyms embrace wearable tech revolution



Virgin Active is planning on offering members fitness trackers to record their workout history, as part of a multimillion-pound push to bring its gyms into the 21st century. Marketing Magazine reports that two ‘tech-centric’ gyms in central London will be opened as part of a £100m investment programme.


Virgin Active’s chief information officer, Andy Caddy, told the magazine the two new gyms will feature contactless systems, allowing members to swipe and swipe out using a smart bracelet - tracking all the workout data in between.
