Three people were found dead in an Apple Valley home Saturday afternoon, police said.
Officers went to a house in the 1000 block of Ramsdell Drive after a neighbor called about bodies inside. When police arrived, they found three bodies.
Police said they didn’t know how long the bodies had been there.
No details were released, but authorities said the public was not in danger.
Agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were treating the house as a crime scene and assisting Apple Valley police.
Investigators were still at the scene late Saturday.
WCCO-TV reported that the neighbor called police at about 1 p.m. after looking through a window and seeing bodies inside.
In police scanner audio captured by Minnesota Police Clips, the neighbor also reported seeing a dog inside and a gun on the floor.
The person calling police reported that the house’s residents had been out of town since before Christmas, according to the audio.
